Can't be anyone who's never heard of Jamie Lee's dad

Some Like It Hot...his best for me and loved The Persuaders as a kid.

Hollywood star Tony Curtis has died of a cardiac arrest at his US home in Nevada aged 85.

The Oscar-nominated actor, who starred in Some Like it Hot opposite Marilyn Monroe, passed away peacefully in bed, a family spokesman said.

The star received an Oscar nod in 1959 for The Defiant Ones, in which he starred with Sidney Poitier.

He also starred in Trapeze, Spartacus and 1970s crime TV series The Persuaders!

Clark County coroner Mike Murphy told the Associated Press that the actor died at 2125 local time on Wednesday.

Born Bernard Schwartz on 3 June 1925, the actor's career spanned six decades, and he made more than 120 films.

He was married six times, including to film star Janet Leigh, with whom he had daughter and actress Jamie Lee Curtis.

RIP Tony thanks for some very entertaining film and tv.

As a kid, 'The Great Race' was a fantastic staple once a year when it came on. Loved the pie scene, and he was always dressed perfectly in white.
