TV show sets used on other shows

This may seem an obscure topic, but it's one I've noticed over the years. A TV show set that will pop up a few years later as the set on another show. For example, having watched a fair bit of both shows, I'm pretty sure that the "Diff'rent Strokes" lounge and staircase was later used in "The Nanny" as their main room.
This was triggered through watching repeats of "Murphy Brown" and noting that Murphy's main living room bears a strong resemblance to another show, but I can't pinpoint which one it is. Thought it looks either like Niles' apartment from latter seasons of "Frasier", or the "Family Ties" house.
Can anyone out there assist before the question drives me crazy, and are there any other notable examples of an old set cropping up later on another show?

This isn't exactly related to this topic, but i can recall hearing that when "Neighbours" went to channel 10 in 1986, the storyline was such that just about all the houses were being renovated because quite a few of the interior sets of the houses were still under construction.
I am surprised that they would "recycle" sets in the Nanny etc though, although obviously its possible. I just would have thought the cost of making new sets wouldn't be that signficant to consider using a "2nd hand" set.

I believe the house used in Two and a Half Men was the house used in Laverne and Shirley....

In the old Hollywood studio days the sets were recycled ad nauseum...

I reckon I read somewhere that all the houses in Wysteria Lane (or whatever it's called) on desperate Housewives are all houses from old 60's shows such as the Munsters/Addams Family, the Andy Griffith show etc...

The patio and living room sets seen in Columbia's Gidget Goes to Rome (1963) were soon adapted for the permanent Bewitched set for 1964. The exterior of the Kravitzes' house later became the home of The Partridge Family.

dunno about the inside of the houses, but the actual "Wysteria Lane" is a full on street in the Universal Studios backlot. seen it when i was over there earlier this year. it literally looks exactly like a street you'd see in an upper class suburb over here. but the houses were completely empty, and all the indoor sets were somewhere completely different.

Read somewhere it was also used in
Drew Carey.
Sitcoms love using the backlot for 'street' scenes.
Seinfeld is a classic example: backlot doubles for Manhattan.
Apparently the
Two-and-a-Half Men set is recycled from
Laverne & Shirley.
And
Hangin' with Mr. Cooper from
Growing Pains...

I saw an episode of Mission Imposible where they were being held prisoner in a camp in South America. The camp was the Hogan's Heroes outdoor set painted in different colours.
