WTF are they doing in Germany in the first place?

Does Eddie want to run the show (by PBL proxy)?

Or be the star of the show?

when it was annouced that Eddie was the new CEO on Ch9 and said that he was giving up his 'on air' commitments i wondered how long before 'Chins' got withdrawal symptoms and hosted another TV show

what was it 6 months?????

I wonder if the 100 employees Eddie has just sacked were at the airport to see them off. How disgusting - no class Channel 9.

Good to see they had the NRL Footy Show blokes on there like Fatty Vautin and Matty Johns. I have long heard that the NRL show trumps the AFL show by miles, and it is not hard to see why when you have a piss funny bloke like Matty Johns on the show. Reg Reagan is the work of a comic genius.

Gotta agree Blink, was a pretty good show overall ... Full marks to Sam (who I'm not a big fan of) for popping that bloke (albeit not hard enough)!

Hard not to get goosebumps through the Warney chants and "Downunder".

Was it just me, or was that a pretty poorly mimed effort by Simple Minds?

me too blink, Matty Johns is the only reason why I watch the NRL footy show for his Reg Reagan segment. A sure thing for a laugh when Reg comes on

The performance of Simple Minds was shocking. The lead singer didn't even attempt to make it look like he was singing for real. About three time he clapped his hands above his head whilst holding the microphone, yet his voice could still be heard singing in the background!!

Full marks for Sam for snotting that bloke as well. I am sure Sam has been called a wanker & dickhead billions of times, but getting spat on by someone is a different kettle of fish. Like Warnie said - if it were me, it wouldn't have been just one small jab.

Got the impression Dutch that they said they were getting rid of 100 and that they could work it out amongst themselves or if not, Nine would do it for them.

Couldn't agree more blink, bloody terrible from Simple Minds!! No question it was the studio cut of that song. At least they could have lip synched a live version, it would have looked far more realistic.
At least Ronan did his song properly and he looked 100 times better than Simple Minds for doing so.

Little junket has cost Nine plenty.

Not only was TFS soundly beaten by The Society Murders on the night...

It got nowhere near the 2m audience promised to advertisers.

So Nine have to effectively give away free air time to advertisers.

Not sure if its been covered on here but i heard one of the reasons for poor ratings was that lots of people went to bed early so the could get up a few hours later to watch the soccer.

That is an excellent point GWW - that is probably why a lot of people didn't watch it.
