Andrew Koenig Reportedly dead

In the saddening news of Andrew Koenig’s death, it is now being reported that the actor committed suicide by hanging himself in Vancouver’s Stanley Park.

An insider told E! that Koenig’s body was found hanging from a tree in the secluded area. “Andrew didn’t want to be found,” the source notes
Walter, the father of the “Growing Pains” star, told Us magazine earlier this week, “No parent should have to deal with anytime like this.”

Andrew’s parents asked fans to honor their son’s memory by donating to the National Suicide Prevention Hotline or the U.S. Campaign for Burma.

Plans for a funeral or memorial service have not yet been announced.
