Neighbours & Home and Away 2010

What's everyone's thoughts on the new season? Here's mine:

1. Paul Robinson sure gets around. How many offspring is that now?
2. Not sure yet who's going to annoy me most this year - dumbarse Donna or Steph 'Mutton' Scully.
3. Zeke, please just kill yourself. Nobody likes you. Even your hair looks like a frown. I bet you write 'Life is Pain' on your mirror in your spare time, then take a photo of it and post it on myspace.
4. Plot idea: Susan and Libby are driving along when Susan suddenly has one of those spaz attacks that featured briefly (yet somehow in a manner that took over her whole life for a week) in last season, and crashes her car into the back of a meat truck. Susan and Libby are unfortunately crushed to death by a cascade of frozen cow carcasses.

:D :D

Something I normally keep very quiet, but afraid to say that I'm a Neighbours tragic. Not much good ringing me at 6.30pm on a weeknight.

1) Andrew is his son by Christina, she had him a long time ago but he has always been referred to by Paul, although not seen. He has had at least six wives I can think of: cannot think of the first one, but was a psycho; Gail; Christina; someone while he was overseas; Lyn and now Rebecca

2) Steph's character has slowly been getting more annoying unfortunately. Not since the stalker storyline has she been very interesting, to be honest. I thought they might tone Donna back a bit after the Saffron story, but seem to be keeping her right at the forefront.

3) Zeke would have to be the most expendable character on there. Whatever discernable personality he has is extraordinarily annoying. Surprising that he has so many character traits that could be explained by a number of medical conditions, yet Dr Karl seems oblivious to it in the same house.

4) I still maintain that bringing Libby back whatsoever was a mistake. Too much disaster in her life to be realistic.

To add to that, Declan looks to really need some counselling of some sort o deal with how he is still "coping" after Didge's death. The scene last night when he went off his tree at Kate for picking up India is surely leading to something further, but his behaviour has been too odd for too long.

If there is a more annoying character than Lyn Scully on TV at present, I can't think of who it is.

Sorry, I'm going to get back in my box now  :)

OMG CK!
I thought it was sad that I am a Neighbour's tragic but you've embraced it magnificently.

I agree on Lyn Scully. As much as I enjoy looking at Lib and Steph (they're my age and have been around since I was a teen) they're both annoying.
Zeke can leave - please.

And as for Paul Robinson's kid, am I right in saying that his mother is one of the Blakeney twins? If so, the timing of his birth, in typical soapie fashion, is all wrong. He speaks funny too. Not sure if anyone's noticed.

Probably the worst show on television. I would rather watch a half hour shot of Antique's Roadshow.

Correct on Paul's kid - Christina was one of the Blakeney twins.

Andrew put the accent down to spending time in Scotland, which is vaguely conceivable I supposed. It's a little like Josh Thomas has collided with Craig McLachlan for accent. You're right on the timing also, although I'm not certain how long Paul and Christina were married. Andrew's ID card states that he has just turned 16, which puts his birthdate somewhere around late 1993.

This gets worse then....I like watching that also. Marvel at what people have had hidden away for years and how much the objects are worth, how well some things have been preserved (not necessarily the antiques experts) and just what some people collect.

That's a definite negative.
Rubbish acting, melodramatic scripts with continuity that's all over the shop. Wouldn't catch me watching stuff like that.

Then you would have him turn up on Home and Away and blow that up.

Antiques Roadshow is a good show. Not up there with Bargain Hunt, but nonetheless, a decent show.

Neighbours is worth watching just for Donna alone.
I would wreck that chick.
Don't mind that brunette bird either...Kate is it? Yeah...Kate. Yum.

Her name is Nicky Whelan and is currently in Scrubs (I'm yet to see an episode of the 'new' Scrubs).
