Unless he was joking in the opener, looks like the rumours that the show might not be back next year were true.

I read somewhere recently that ch 10 is looking at developing a "Hey Hey Its Saturday" type show for him next year.
Personally i'm not a great fan of Rove, i think he thinks he's way funnier than he actually is. I watch a bit here and there, some of his guests can be interesting.

Saw that somewhere too, haven't watched it alot over the last 18 months, find Rove alot funnier than Peter Helliar though!

heard on an entertainment report on the radio that rove (is that his real name ?) is going to explore options in the usa early next year & the show 'could be back' later on next year but nothing has been decided on regarding the show & it also 'keeps the show fresh' this way, said the report i had heard
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Never been a massive fan of Rove, but I hope him pulling the pin doesn't mean the demise of 'late show' style tv in Aust.
God forbid that Hey Hey is the only show that international guests can get exposure on Aust tv next year.
Fingers crossed channel 10 or another network work hard over summer to cook up another concept in this genre.

Rove will be back. Nothing shows our committment to recycling more than our Television industry. Even Bert still gets a gig and every Underbelly just brings out the same old Hacks. Rove in Underbelly III...bookmark it!
