(sorry if this has been done before)
In recognition of remembering such things as the channel 10 christmas appeal,
Hey Hey it's Saturday moments, etc, etc....
What are some of your most memorable moments in TV
Something you've seen on TV that you wont forget.
Funny or sad, good or bad, sport or drama etc, etc ??

The Paul Hogan Show had some memorable funny moments for me !
The hangover cure...
I remember nearly vomiting watching as a kid,
him mixing all that goo together and then drinking it !
And the show where he makes the vegemite sandwich,
And you have to put some of the butter in the jar and vice versa !
Sooooo true, so true, kids always end up with the butter in the vegemite jar,
and the vegemite in the butter container !!

"What's that skip, there's a fire - in the gully"
Classic!

Just thought of one/an image I'll never forget either...
When Monica Seles got stabbed in the back when she sat down at the sidelines during her tennis match,
I was watching that when it happened as well.
Wasn't good.

Where do you start....
The bomb in the deli in Number 96
The last episode of M*A*S*H. Remember it as clear as a bell, watching it throughout and being so sad to see the end of a show that had been such a part of my life.
Molly's death in "A Country Practice". Knew it was coming for ages, but still so sad at my age.
The car bomb in E-Street that wiped out three pivotal characters (yes, I was an E-Street tragic)
Grace's death in "The Sullivans" (a show that was throughout my childhood, grew up watching and loving even at a young age, and would love to get again on DVD. One of Australian TV's finest productions IMHO)
The fire in "Prisoner", after the fight between Bea Smith and "The Freak", Joan Ferguson (another show seen right throughout childhood)
First two seasons of "Fast Forward". Some absolute comic gold by a number of comedians at the peak of their game at the time. Whatever he's done since, Steve Vizard had some moments of genius, along with Peter Moon, Marg Downey, Michael Veitch etc.
"The Late Show". LOVE this show to the core, bring it out now and again for a good laugh. Still can't hear an ice cream van today without thinking of the "Mr Whippy races". "Sh*tscared". Graham and The Colonel. The music finales with household names playing songs by soundalike names.
"Frontline" - true jewel in the crown of Australian TV. Watching the whole series on DVD at present, amazing how well it holds up now. Very, very biting, cutting and from many within that industry, absolutely accurate portrayal of current affairs television. Hard to narrow down who is the best executive producer of Bruno Lawrence (Brian), Kevin J. Wilson (Sam) or Steve Bisley (Graham "Prowsey" Prowse). Working Dog again at its best.

The America's Cup win in 83. By far the highlight of my sporting vision.
Pat Cash beating Michael Pernfors in the Davis Cup either 82 or 83. Best Tennis match I've ever seen.
The Bomb in No. 96
Ian Turpie hosted a night of TV in the early to mid 80's which was in 3D. I remember the Three Stooges show was televised in 3D at about 7 or 7.30.
The Late Show as mentioned earlier in the thread. Great TV!
The "master of your domain" episode on Seinfeld
Kingswood Country:
"When I was a boy..."
"Oh, here we go again"
"Too right we go again....when I was a boy, we were so poor, we had to walk 10 miles to school with a sheep in each pocket just to keep our hands warm"
Molly dying in A Country Practice
Men Behaving Badly:
(Debra agrees to go out with Tony after many months of desperate effort on Tony's behalf)
....they embrace.... (Debra) "Tony, ......what are you thinking"
(Tony) What colour your bush is"
Young Ones:
"Have we got a video?" and the episode where they are on University Challenge
Overall, my favourite memory of TV as a kid was waking up on a Saturday morning and watching hours of cartoons. Jabberjaw, Josie & The Pussycats, Archie, Scooby, Shazam, Birdman, Wacky Races, the list goes on.

A few come to mind that remain with me to this day...
1. I remember coming home from the Royal Adelaide Show, switching the TV on and watching the reports that Princess Diana had passed away.
2. Waking up one morning and putting the box on to see vision of the planes crashing into the Twin Towers
3. Sitting in front of the TV on NYE to watch the extended film clip of Michael Jackson's 'Thriller'
4. Crows Grand Final win in 1997
5. Australia winning the Americas cup win for the first time
6. Watching the Socceroos v Uruguay in the World Cup qualifier and nervously watching during the penalty shoot out
7. Ron Casey and Normie Rowe slugging it out on the Ray Martin show
8. Waking early every morning to sit in the kitchen so close to the little white TV, with my feet up on the walls and watching the 1980 Moscow Olympics
9. Sitting on the loungeroom floor on a Saturday morning, still all muddy, in my footy gear and watching cartoons until the SAFA came on, followed by the SANFL reserves
10. One HD. Thank god for that

I think you missed the point. Randy was exposing the frauds (Stokes) and Lane (another fraud masquerading as a "Talent") couldn't handle it as he thought she was just a lovely old lady, instead of the charlatan he (Randy) showed her to be.
