Favourite TV Shows as a Child

Postby JK » Tue Aug 04, 2009 9:52 am

Not sure if this one has been done, if it has just sing out and I'll merge it.

What were your favourite TV shows as a kid, off the top of my head I can come up with:

HR PufNStuf
Chips
The Man From Atlantis
Electro Woman and Dyna Girl
Happy Days
A Man Named Sloan (if I've got the title correct?)
Family Ties
Battle Of The Planets
Gilligans Island
Batman

Most of these shows I really can't remember a lot about (maybe thats a good thing lol)

Sesame Street. Watched the same episode twice every day since it was on in two timeslots. Playschool too.

Doctor Who. Wandered in to the lounge room as a five year old and asked the old man what he was watching. Sat down to watch it with him. Didn't understand why it finished while the story was obviously still running, and the old man said "well you'll have to watch it next week won't you?" So I did. And the week after that, and after that, etc. I still remember that first episode: Episode 1 of Planet Of The Spiders.

The Goodies
Monkey
Blake's 7
The Banana Splits
Uncle Croc's Block (anyone else remember that one?)

The channel niners show after school and Hey Hey It's Saturday on weekends (the kids one with winky dink, not the Melbourne-produced one with that effing ostrich), and all cartoon/kids shows incorporated in to these (Bugs Bunny, The Curiosity Show, Match Mates, etc)
Clowns OUT. Smears OUT. RESIST THE OCCUPATION.

A couple of mates of mine swear they saw an episode where the bloke inside the HBB suit sneezed and they all cracked up laughing, can any one confirm if this actually happened?

Geeez haven't heard that one mentioned for a looooooong time. Very, very vague memories of it being on...starred Zsa Zsa Gabor's sister IIRC.

A few I forgot on my first list...

The Munsters
Adams Family
Scooby-do
Tom and Jerry (only the Fred Quimby ones tho)
Bewitched
Man from UNCLE
The Avengers

Every time a sit down with a cuppa I think of more...

Get Smart
The Singing Ringing Tree (German weirdness with a princess, a prince/bear, a big (talking, I think) fish and several dwarfs iirc)
