I watched it the night it came out. I enjoyed it even though Tom Cruise is supposed to pass as a German officer (shortest German I've ever seen).
Worth a look anyway.

Goebbels was short, but not short of a word unfortunately.

I would think that most Germans would have been short actually.
From what I have read, the Axis troops, were often freaked out by their first sighting of Australian troops as they were so much taller than them.
That could be because initially we had the cream of the crop heading OS with the AIF. I'd think as the wars went on, the minimum height for enlisting soldiers was lowered.

Check out the original. It is in German and was on SBS recently. Anything that has been Hollywoodised is normally carp.

I'll have to do that REB. i saw a doco a month or so ago on the 32 attempted assasinations of hitler. that was pretty interesting, although i couldnt understand how they tried, and failed 32 times.

To find the answer out to that, you'll need to see Castro: The Movie

I was joking about Castro the movie, although, surely he's due for one to be made about him....
I was referring to the large number of failed assassination attempts on his life by the US.

I think what he meant was the yanks tried, and failed, to off Castro numerous times.
Not sure if too many Yanks could have gotten close enough to Hitler to attempt anything.

Didn't Hogan's Heroes have a crack one time?
Always got me when the black dude was out on the street dressed as an African, and aroused no suspicion

No - you're right - it is true
I reckon Adolf was in the camp one time and they were trying to kidnap him - they never killed anyone in that show. I did use to like the blonde secretary
