Just thought I'd put this out there, as I went to see Stephen K Amos at the Arts Theatre last night and was piss funny, even had a support act from Adelaide that was pretty good too, but are there any other comedians that you've seen that would be worth spending $30 bucks on to see at the Fringe next year? I'm hoping Reginald D Hunter comes over from the States...

Im a HUGE Scardies fan, George (from the RAA ads) is also good value.

Saw Arj Barker last year and didn't think he was that good... funny, but I wasn't pissing myself for the whole show by any means..

Carl BArron is a funny dude

Rate Demitri Martin as my favourite, although you see enough of his shows you soon know all of his jokes.

Danny Bhoy. Saw him a couple years back, f*cken pisser!!!

Forked out for Jimeoin this year 'cause the missus loves him and I was very disappointed. A few good laughs, but I like to walk away with a sore jaw.

Ben Elton - brilliant.
Dave Hughes was very funny in his early days.
There's an Adelaide comedian called Rich Neighbour who's kinda funny too. Only cos he grew up in Smithfield

I have a mate called Yianni - he's currently in London but if he's ever in town, you should catch him too. I've seen him perform a couple of times. Great stuff.

If you ever get the chance, you should check out the Melbourne Comedy Festival Road Show. Each year about five of the comedians from the MCF tour the country areas of SA and perform. Usually a very pi*s funny night. They often put a show on in Tanunda, so it's not too far out of town for you cityites either.

Not a fan of Dave Hughes anymore. His style of humour has grown a bit old methinks.

My favourite comedians are Rodney Rude, Ricky Gervais, Carl Barron, Jason Byrne and Merrick and Rosso.

That's not including Americans like Dave Chappelle and Eddie Murphy back in the day.

If you haven't seen the two DVD's he put out a couple of years ago... try and see them.
Very, very funny.

Especially DVD number one if you are over 35 years of age.... seems to be very relevant to your own childhood

Don;t know what she's like in stand-up, if she does that anyway, but Rebel Wilson is generally pretty good value in improv situations (eg Thank God You're Here). I saw Judith Lucy four times over four Fringes and found by the third one, I'd heard a lot of the show before.

Obviously some very diverse senses of humour on here...

I went to see Carl Barron at the fringe about 7 years ago. After seeing him on TV I thought he would be great live, but was very, very disappointed. On the flip side I was dragged along to see Lano and Woodley at the same fringe festival thinking they'd be crap, but they were absolutely hilarious.

From a DVD point of view, Ricky Gervais is pretty good as are Jerry Seinfeld, Rowan Atkinson & Eddie Murphy.
