The original version is very probably the coolest piece of music ever composed without using synthesizers or theremins. The synth-heavy '80s mix was not quite in the same league.

The Thunderbirds theme has a great 'military' feel to it.

Can just about remember back as far as Patrick Troughton...it was th pictures that scared me as a kiddie...the way the faces morphed in and out.
Not easy to compare the two themes though...likt trying to compare Led Zep with Louis Armstrong...I like both at times
