I thought Waynes World was the 90s, 91 made 92 released.

Agree with all the ones mentioned so far esp Ferris Bueller, Breakfast Club, Bull Durham, Wierd Science - Kelly Le Brock hmmmm, for the music score and scenery I liked the Man from Snowy Rver too.

Alos rated the Big Steal as an Aussie movie but IIRC that was early 90s

Chariots of Fire is a classic too
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Anything with John Candy! Loved his movies as I was growing up...

Uncle Buck
The Great Outdoors
Planes, Trains and Automobiles
Brewsters Millions
Blues Brothers
Stripes
National Lampoons Vacation

So far as others are concerned;

Raiders of the Lost Ark
Beverley Hills Cop (1 not 2)
Commando
The Gods Must Be Crazy
The Untouchables
Mississippi Burning
Cannonball Run
Stand By Me
Top Gun

Southee, what's going on mate? I didn't see The Never Ending Story in your list...

*EDIT* Forgot "Gallipoli" but seeing it in someone elses list reminded me. Great film. Probably the best war film ever made.

All the Molly Ringwald Movies of the 80's eg sixteen candles, pretty in pink and the breakfast club.
Risky Buisness, Top Gun, revenge of the Nerds all of em. the 80's were awsome even the music was cool - this decade had the most one hit wonders of all time. :)

You should talk to Mrs Smac about all those Molly Ringwald movies.

'Cos it would save me having to (Breakfast Club excepted - great fillum).

Police Academy, Ferris Bueller, Blues Brothers are the top 3 for me. A great time in movie history, so many good ones to choose.

I think you'll find Smokey and the Bandit was pre-1980...

Great movie though. I can't wait until my boy is old enough to sit down and watch a good old Burt Reynolds car chase movie with me!

LOL Thats pretty much how it happened to me ... I'd watch it again and again with the old man (occsionally mix it up with "Hooper") until about the 463rd time my old man suggested "How about we watch Smokey & tha Bandit again", to which the reply came "FFS dad Im 14 and can recite every word, there is nowhere else to go with this one"
