There has been a fair bit of speculation that Family Guy are stealing many scenes from The Simpsons episodes.

I don't know if anyone on here watches Family Guy or has seen it before but what is your opinion on the show and which do you prefer between The Simpsons and Family Guy.

Both shows are very similar but i much prefer Family Guy. I find that The Simpsons episodes are getting boring and they use the same joke in almost every episode.

This is a very tough question indeed. I love the Simpsons and have for many years, but love Family Guy just as much. If anyone saw last nights episode on 7, it was one of the funniest things you would have ever seen. Some of it is wrong, and you feel you shouldn't be laughing, but its damn funny.

I can see the claims of plagiarism....but really FG is just paying homage to the Simpsons and recognising its place in tv's history.

I think it's something The Simpsons has done many times throughout its 20 year history.

I had to pick The Simpsons.

The older seasons of the Simpsons 1 to 12 are unbeatable, but the newer episodes pale in comparison against those of Family Guy.

Both great shows though.

The good thing about the simpsons is when i first watched it Bart was the coolest character ever but i was only a kid. As i got older and i watched the old epesodes again Homer became the absoloute stand out. It's genius to make a program on those two levels.

Family Guy is a far funnier show today becase thats how are humor has evolved you need to be random and rude and from left field to get a laugh these days because most jokes have been done to death. Family Guy does this well.

But they are both great shows just Different !

Although have taken quite a liking to Family Guy recently.

Would not have thought another animated series would overtake The Simpsons in my book, but have been most surely proved wrong.
Family Guy for mine, even my two year old loves it (think he is Stewie)

I'm tired of The Simpsons.
Give me The Family Guy anytime at the moment.

simpsons by the length of the straight for mine. been a massive fan for years and can recite most episodes.
many cartoons have been accused of plagiarising the simpsons since about season 9. problem is simpsons have been going for so long its hard to do any episode and not pick some similarity to an episode here or there.
