Oh christ, just another reason for him and Cornsey to agree with on something.
They used to be unbearable when they argued with each other, these days when I flip it on they're agreeing with each other all the time blowing smoke up each other's arse which is even worse than unbearable!
I hope he doesn't have some misguided notion that he might get a gig commentating on C7.
C7 now has KG, C9 has Bert, who is C10 going to dig up?

Has he gone to C7 for the footy next year?

or was he pushed from C9, and 7 was the next best thing?

I suppose what i'm trying to say is was he pushed or did he go on his own accord?

Strike me pink, I cannot believe KG, the biggest embarrassment to SA footy, yet alone this state, has been given yet another chance to totally make an ass of himself and continue to make us the laughing stock of Australia. I refuse to listen to him on radio and I thought I had seen the last of him on TV. His footy tipping comp with bubblehead bickley and chad cornes (the name speaks for itself) was one of the most ridiculous efforts to add entertainment to a sport segment on the 9 news that I have ever seen.
I will never forget his biased, opinionated comments on his footy show throughout the 80's.
I hope 7 sack him before he tarnishes their name.

Hmmm I am sorry Mundo Jerry but I really do think you are being overly harsh on KG here.... in my opinion I love his knowledge and old school ways (yep even the stubborn streak!)... I love that he does not like to bag people and I think his genuine humbleness (?) is refreshing for such a well known sporting identity... oh he also reminds me a lot of my late father... spose I just have a soft spot for him is all... oh yea and that I was taught to have respect for those older than us

Cant agree with you Lunchie, sorry. KG is a self opiniated know all who actually is quite illiterate.

His stance on the Jack Cahill incident a few years ago showed us he is also a two faced.

As the great Merv Agars once said on Cunningam. Has gone a long way with nothing between his ears.
who actually is quite illiterate.
i do not hold being illiterate against anyone Coorong.... as KG admits himself quite often "don't ask me, Stud I'm Stupid"! alot of people his circa did not have the luxury of attending school much after primary school age (ie my Mum and Dad too) and KG is the first to admit he only went to Ascot Park Primary until Grade 6 - each to their own I say . thank you for your reply to my post.

Perhaps they'll bring back Fat Cat?

His commentary would be more understandable than KG's, if nothing else...

Sorry Lunchie. The man is an arrogant obnoxious prick, weeeeeelllll past his use by date. And does nothing to enhance the S.A. media. The only other media type lower (only just) is Rucci.

KG is the last of his kind, a dinosaur of the old SANFL days. Which makes it doubly sad he only knows the Crows these days. But I still tune in, as much as he frustrates me with his inane babbling. He's a creature of habit (I see him every morning go on his West Beach walk), has never been out of the country, loves Adelaide to the exclusion of anything else and by his own admission is a simple family man. As I've said before, we'll only appreciate his value when he's gone. The Molly Meldrum of sports broadcasting - a talentless treasure. He should be heritage listed. Farmers Union Iced Coffee. Balfours Frog Cake. Hills Hoist. Kenneth George Cunningham.

Must admit I've heard the same thing from several people, he sounds like a different person away from the radio.
And as much as I can't stand the 5AA sports show I agree with you zipzap, he is an institution and his passion (no matter where its mislaid) can't be questioned.
Not many radio stations in the world can still lay claim to having a stutterer as a host on talkback.

I still miss SEN though, that was the best few months of my life, even helped me get fit as I was quite willing to walk the dog for hours while listening to the radio, now I'm fat and the dog hasn't been on a walk for months.

Spot on Zipper. He is one of those characters who has survived through the growth of the media, from a radio broadcaster,to TV host and has endured 4 decades of change, yet, regardless of what the masses think, people still tune in and listen to him.

Yes, we love to hate him. We tune in to hear him talk shit so we can criticise him to our mates down the pub.
