Mexican drug cartel flick with Benicio del Toro and a female lead who's name escapes me?

If it's what I think it is, I heard it was pretty good. Reckon I'll give it a look, especially after Narcos.

Emily Blunt is the name of the heavenly blessed beauty whose name should never escape you.

Yep, me too. Plenty of humour and references to the original trilogy. A few holes in the plot, but it's good fun and beats the living suitcase out of the prequels. Keen to see how the story develops in the next one.

That wouldn't have been hard, Hayden Christensen isn't in the new one.

True, he was pretty average in the second and third prequels. Although I've expunged a lot of those films from my memory.

Also, The Phantom Menace was full of political/senate and trade negotiation nonsense that made it simply dull and boring. IMHO if Lucas had started with Episode I and not IV back in 1977 the whole thing would've failed dismally.

I dont usually like movies that are constant actiony fighty scenes, with little talking, but this movie was exhilarating.

The action never stops and the way the scenes are put together are crazy good.

I encourage everybody to go see it.

I may have dreamt it but I thought you re-posted somewhere that this initial analysis was a little generous.

I have no doubt that in gold class with pumping sound, perfect first world comfort and the right attitude it would be a lot of fun but I don't think this movie belongs In this thread for mine.

Watched it last night in a group of 3 people on DVD and don't think it was as good or likeable as any of the 3 originals. Obviously seriously would benefit from Gold class but I found the story full of holes. I struggled with one bloke and 5 chicks and a kid fighting off 3 fully equipped armies tough to look past. The lack of dialogue was disturbing and some of the parts of action scenes were comically bad.

Each to their own but this is definitely no cinematic masterpiece.

Watched The Interview last night with James Franco and Seth Rogen in it. It's a pisstake story revolving around North Korea and Kim John ****.

There was 8 of us of aged 7-70 and we all found it somewhat amusing. Went in with little expectation and was pleasantly surprised by its entertainment and comedy. Some pretty funny scenes in it.

Certainly worth the $4.95 for 3 nights :)

Watched American Sniper finally, IIRC (which I might not) it didn't rate massively among the SFCC (SAFooty collective critique). Thought it was pretty good myself, the Sienna Miller factor might have helped though.

From memory most of us liked it, a couple didn't but it was unanimously agreed the movie was heavily embellished for effect.

Star Wars was very cool. Enjoyed the romp and had goosebumps as some of the characters appeared. Loved the sound, the visual stimulation and all the familiar bits. Looking forward to the next one.

I was the same, when the older characters came on screen, even when first seeing the Millennium Falcon, the X Wings and Tie Fighters i was just smiling...

The massive intro writing at the start to the backdrop of stars and space and that familiar Soundtrack nearly got me emotional :)

I'm heading back with the Mrs next week in Gold Class.

Read a couple of reviews basically saying it's the best movie of the series after the original Rocky, which is a fair wrap.

Michael B Jordan was excellent in Friday Night Lights, and apparently gives a belter of a performance in this one.

I can't believe it could be anywhere near as good as the last Rocky but I will certainly be checking it out. The Rocky Balboa character is up there with any in the history of movies. Truly inspirational and believable. Loved every movie and every montage.

can't wait to see creed... looks excellent... love the series, except 5 and that's why the last rocky movie was made...

Mrs. Creation and I saw Creed a couple of weeks ago in the Angelika Suite at West Lakes.

First of all, I loved the theatre! The seats were really comfortable and spacious, and there were tables in between the seats, not ******* cup holders!

The movie itself was incredible!

This spin-off has breathed life into the franchise, and Michael B. Jordan was convincing as Adonis. Sly's role, while obviously smaller than in the previous films, will surely net him a Best Supporting Actor gong at the Oscars.

Creed is a worthy addition to the series, and easily sits within the top 3 of the lot.
