Bionic Woman

Postby Rushby Hinds » Wed Nov 07, 2007 5:54 pm

Well behind on my TV viewing, i (finally) watched the first episode last night.

Very "dark" show, similar to Alias as if directed by the bloke who did the last Batman Movie.

I'm hooked...

PS for those who have seen other episodes don't spoil it for me please!

And any resemblance between this and the show from 25 (?) years ago VERY slim!

Jamie/bionic limbs, that's about it.
He's still my hero even if he is a little bit crap.

I watched the first few episodes and have surprisingly enjoyed it.
I loved the Bionic Woman and Man in the 70s as a kid, also loved Battlestar Galactica as a kid so its amazing I like the new rejigged shows this century.
I was expecting the Bioinic Woman to be crap but its not bad.
Only thing that really annoys me is Jonas (or is it Jonah?) should be called Oscar!
The new Jamie isn't half as hot as Lindsay Wagner was in her day though. :(

Stick with it after Ep 2 Rushby - a difficult one to watch. Get through that and it's a pretty good show.

I must admit it doesn't do much for me...hope Starbuck comes back to Battlestar!

She does, starts very soon. Its one of the reasons I can handle the Bionic Woman, because Starbuck is in it but you know the writers or casters have got something wrong when we're barracking for the baddy to knock the living daylights out of the miss goodytwo shoes goody!

The original heroine was actually called Jaime, IIRC...

Yeah she was a JAIME, apparently when the character was first created the writer accidentally misspelt her name and it just stuck...

Yeah usually very good. The Jaime thing was a question at a quiz night, and I got it right amid protests from my fellow table mates that I was wrong! I assured them I'd read it somewhere (probably Woman's Day or something :? ).
