Watched the DVD last night.
1st episode, meh.
2nd episode, mmm, not bad.
3rd epsiode f**kin funny!
(nb this is not a reflection of each episode, but my time-line of being won over)

Jonah is my favourite character by far.
The scene where he accuses his father of molesting him, & where the father gets called in & fronted by the school counsellor had me in tears!

Mrs Brod loves it, its her favourite show, but I wained as it went on.
Jonah is great and as such I will quite often just watch the Jonah montage on You Tube, get all the good bits and miss the rest (jamie)

I agree.
I theorised about Jonah having is own show, but I doubt you could fill an episode without losing quality.
Also by having the other 2 characters makes Jonah shine.
I find Ja'mie irritating, & Mr G mildly amusing at times.

Another funny Jonah moment is when his dad picks him up from school, & upon hearing he'd misbehaved, informed the teachers he would give him a "hiding" when he got home!

Very very funny show. Chris Lilley is one of the most briiliant comedy writers/performers Australia has produced for a long time.

Best show that has been on abc for the last 10 years

I didn't actually laugh out loud for most the episodes especially the early one's but felt compelled to watch them all.
First heard about the show when Ja'mie rang JJJ morning show once, I thought it was a real chick and I thought I have to watch this show thinking it was a doco!
Like all I love the character Jonah, cracks me up.
Apparantley there's all sorts of troubles at schools around the nation with kids telling their teaches to "Puck off".

Also a couple of days ago Chris Lilley went to a shopping centre in Melbourne (Chadstone or something like that), and after spending 2 hours signing DVDs he had to get security to help him out as the crowd got agro that he wouldn't stay there longer to give more sigs!

Chris is incredibly talented, Ive seen some of his earlier work on the Comedy Channel and he's cracked me up.

I can't really pick a fave...

I love Mr G - he's just sooooooooo gay! i love the way he flounces around everywhere and gives the principal grief
Jai'me - she makes me laugh... "you know how all you public school people are povo... " hehehehehe
Jonah - cracks me up and I love the thing he has going with his remedial teacher

have loved this new series.. can't wait to see some more of his work.

They replayed his first show 'We can be heroes' end to end on Fox the other week

I recommend it to anyone who missed it

I have missed most of SHH unfortunately but will pick up a DVD copy
