TV

Started The Sopranos from series 1, ep 1 the other day. Hopefully all 6 series will get me through a lot of the summer.
Californication is still providing a few laughs.

Movies

I think an 80's inspired summer is on the cards. Wall Street, Breakfast Club... Anything 80's will probably get a run.

I basically watch BBC's The Office, Arrested Development and Trailer Park Boys over and over, and am currently doing so now again.
For something I haven't already watched 10 times, I just bought Family Guy series 5 & 6 to watch, and am checking out downloads of the latest Heroes and Smallville series.

We've just signed up for Foxtel and you can get packages now that are much more economical than they used to be for anyone getting bored with only 5 channels

There are some great shows on there altho you do pay for them granted

Will be my third run through from start to finish. Best show ever, IMO.

Fat rat bastard! Was my favourite line, for some reason.

My kids have discovered all my old (safe) videos. They reckon this Indiana Jones bloke is a complete guru and these Blues Brothers fellas are hilarious.

As for Ferris Bueller, well . . . . .

They won't do the kids any harm, Rog. Smac jr watched Police Academy with me yesterday, I reckon I've never heard him laugh so much.

But those other videos... I'd imagine Mrs Rog wouldn't want the kids finding those ones!

Uncomfortable as it was to watch, thought the first half-hour was as engrossing as it was disturbing...

But then it became a schlockfest.

An odd little film in that the 'hero' is as sick and demented, perhaps even more so, as the 'villain.'

In the end, they were both lu-lu...

Fairly accurate desciption you made there. Uncomfortable is spot on.

For anyone looking for a good laugh...

The Book of Revelation.

Unfortunately, it's supposed to be a serious, thought-provoking drama.

Amazingly - but then not really all that suprising given the flunky state of the local film industry - director Ana Kokkinos is now Head of Directing at AFTRS.

Some 'interesting' films should come out of there in the next few years...
