Who killed Channel 9?

Postby Cambridge Clarrie » Thu Oct 18, 2007 4:35 pm

This book by Gerald Stone (formerly of the Nine Network) exposes just how downhill things went at 9 just prior to and after the passing of Kerry Packer.

Anyone interested in reading about corporate politics should certainly read this book. I'm no book worm by any stretch but this was a captivating read, I couldn't put it down.

Has anyone else read this?

Things went backwards under Eddie after the former CEO (name escapes me) left after a falling out with the Packer family

The former CEO has now returned since the ownership of Ch 9 changed so maybe its only up from here?

Book pretty much regurgitates what was in News Limited papers over the past few years, especially the Teletrash.

Expected a bit more from Stone...

Is this referring to reading the book or killing channel 9? Just need to clarify...

Agree with MP's assessment of the book. I had read 90% of it already in the papers.
