Newstopia - Diamond or Dud?

Saw a bit of Micallef's new program on SBS last night. Usually I find the guy quite clever. His new show didn't really work that well though IMO.

Didn't rate anything special either...

I didn't even know he had a new show coming up. Might watch it next week, love his work - he's an acquired taste I reckon.

It's a slow sizzle. Give it time.
Maybe not as "in your face" as his show on the ABC but none the less still funny. And still 100 times funnier than ANYTHING else being done in Australia at the moment (with the exception of Clarke and Dawe).

A few belly laughs but a LOT of flat spots.

Anyone got a transcript of the Chaser's dead people song last night - that was the most distastefully amusing skit I've ever seen on TV!

i think the abc removed the video from the abc/chaser website because it was there this morning and its not now

btw i think newstopia was 70% dud and 30% absolute diamond but i think it will get better, he's too funny
