Yep the Chaser's have been up to it again...11 crew from the Chaser's have been charged and granted bail following their arrest in Sydney after they staged a fake motorcade.
Julian Morrow and Chas Licciardello, two of the Chaser's, were among the 11 detained by police in a convoy of three cars and two motorbikes.
The fake motorcade had been staged as part of an APEC week stunt.
The crew members were in the convoy which was reportedly ushered through two checkpoints in Sydney's APEC restricted security zone.
The convoy was pulled over in Macquarie Street in a block adjacent to the InterContinental Hotel, where Bush is a guest during the APEC summit.
All 11 were granted bail to appear in the Downing Centre Local Court on October 4.
They were arrested by APEC Investigation Squad detectives under laws that restrict anyone from entering declared zones during APEC.
Saw the highlights of this on the news, and they made it look pretty good !
I like the show, although some of the stuff they do make me cringe...
They may be in the poop this time tough...

that is sensational
havent had the pleasure to sit down and watch it on a regular basis
it just goes to show that with all the money in the world spent on security for BUSH someone got close enough to his hotel to do some damage if they wanted.
I think the whole security outfit for this APEC would be very very embarrassed by the whole situation, even if they did try to deflect attention of the issue!

These guys have really outdone themselves. I'd love to see this episode!
The beauty of the Chaser is they keep changing it up and doing different funny crap every show. Brilliant.
Realistically, who gives a toss that G.W. Buttcrack is in town. The trouble we go to to accommodate this big vagina is ridiculous, not to mention the cost.

ACA ran a story last night on how they had been caught. It seems an ongoing war is occuring between ACA & Today Tonight v Chasers.
So far you would think Chasers are winning

Apparently, the ABC lawyers signed off on it thinking that they would get stopped at checkpoint 1. Nope thru 1 then through 2....
They stopped on their OWN accord also !! Scary stuff, and shows how good our security set up is !!

I watch their show and have a laugh but have always thought it would be good to see them push it too far and really get in the shit... Whilst I reckon what they did was stupid, I think that there should be some people in high places who set up the security protocols getting their arses kicked. Ridiculous that they should be able to get as far as they did...

Working next to the InterContinental where Dubya is staying and seeing the security personnel on hand...
I'm not the least surprised they got within ten metres of the joint.
Having said that, apparently the coppers don't have any authority to stop official motorcades.
They just have to wave them through...

It doesn't make Aussies look stupid.
It makes yanks look stupid for demanding such pointless security. Stupid Americans.

Good on 'em.
One of the few dissenting voices actually getting to a large audience.
