Smashed out Tiger King's 7 episodes in 4 days.

You know that feeling you get, that feeling of happiness when you drive around, looking at little old Adelaide and where it sits in the grand scheme of things and knowing the odds that fell in your favour to have you born and bred here?

That's what I'm feeling.

And that your wife didn't feed you to a tiger (allegedly).

Just finished season 2 of 'Sunderland til I die'. Not quite as good as S1, seemed to skip over things a little quicker towards the end. Still a great show and highly recommend it

‘Unorthodox’ appears to be a popular selection at the moment, I can say its definitely worth a look.

Weird show, found it very hard to like any of the characters at all. I didn't love it but it kept me drawn in somehow.

The full on Jewish in Brooklyn are one weird mob.

I'm not sure if I 'like' many of the characters too (and some you're not meant too, like Moishe), but you have to sympathise with Esty as a 'participant' in an arranged marriage in a patriarchal culture that doesn't tolerate deviance from 100% commitment. To a much lesser extent, I sympathised also with Yanky (the husband), who I'm not sure knows what he really wants in life, apart from what his mother and community has told him.

I think it provides an interesting insight into the Hasidic Jewish community, which is something we don't see a lot of in Australia, and Adelaide. There's a doco also on Netflix with a similar story of how a woman in that community tries to break away and claim custody of her kids from an abusive relationship, I forget what it's called, but also compelling.

Finished Tiger King last night, some real weird shit, joining that with Making a Murderer it doesn't paint regional USA in a great light.

Makes you wonder how the authorities let makeshift zoos like that get out of hand.

Reckon they could have condensed it over a 3 part series, went a bit too long.

Had a look at 'The English Game' over the weekend - not a bad show, think of it as Downton Abbey with a soccer ball. An interesting account of the origins of football in England and its early growth from toff's game to one embraced by the working classes.

I watched it too and it struck a chord with how people were when blokes started coming to the country to play footy for cash

ATYPICAL.
Good watch, enough humour mixed with the seriousness of a teenager with Autism.

Lucky I'm working from home, stayed up til 2am and finished Narcos Mexico season 2. Great show that has me googling all the players in real life constantly. Hopefully they do a 3rd installment.

Just finished Sunderland til i die, took a few eps to get into it but then really enjoyed it, love seeing how organisations like they work behind the scenes and also the passion for their town/team.
