just finished watching an episode of Jam and Jerusalum, a quirky little comedy about a bunch of women in a small country town in a group similar to the CWA
a bit of an ensemble cast including Jennifer Saunders, Dawn French, Joanna Lumley and a few other recognisable faces

memorable quote from tonites show from the local copper in the pub
"falling off your barstool is a reminder that it is time to drive home"

The IT Crowd.

Completely NOT funny.
Being in IT I couldn't wait to check it out. I did, and I was sad.
I love 'Food and Stuff'. It's where I buy all of my food. And most of my stuff.

I watched the first episode of the new series of Little Britain on 9 last night - and turned it off halfway through.

Little Britain is simply a collection of skits involving the same characters in which the same joke is repeated week in, week out. Nevertheless it was hilarious; it takes a certain talent to take a single joke and milk it out for as long as possible. 'Allo 'Allo is the perfect example; several seasons of the same catchphrases (Oh my God / Good Moaning / You Stupid Woman! / Listen very carefully, I shall say this only once) and the same plot (attempting to secure the real copy of the Fallen Madonna with the Big Boobies, concealing British airmen and staying one step ahead of the Gestapo) never ceased to be funny. However I think the humour in Little Britain has run its course. The jokes are now tired and stale. They did well to stretch the show out for 3 seasons but it has now jumped the shark.

The British series that I have bought:

1. The Office
2. Men Behaving Badly
3. Black Adder (Blackadder Goes Forth the best)

really?
I rate Series 2& 3 the best, followed by 1, then Goes Forth

Fantasy Football
Red Dwarf
'Allo 'Allo
Young ones
Brittas Empire
Bottom
Father Ted
Black Adder
Mighty Boosh
The Office

Thats just the comdey ones which I watch the most anyway, otherwise the bill, dr.who, hitchhikers guide to the galaxy I think its easier for me to say most things produced by the bbc, itv, etc. As for the post earlier refering to 10 u.s. shows I think I may like like 2 or 3 non cartoon shows produce by the US that I watch
The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas

Couldn't agree more on Little Britain...one of the least funny shows I've seen...can't stand it...Catherine Tate's show isn't any better either. Red Dwarf was ok but nowhere near as good as the likes of Blackadder...now that was funny.
