Fierce Focus
Greg Chappell's autobiography.
Enjoying it because I have read plenty of stories about Chappelli, Walters, Marsh, but not as many about Greg Chappell, apart from how good he was. Mixes his serious cricket-playing thoughts with some humour

Currently re-reading a novella called The Song of the Seals, written by myself. :? I'm gunna be waiting another four to six weeks to find out if it's been successful. Otherwise I'll have to strike out on my own - get an agent and try to publish it from there. Fingers crossed. If I succeed this time round, it'll solve all our goddamn financial problems that we've had for the last twelve months. :?

If anyone is interested in having a gander at it - and I doubt many will be, because it covers a fairly obscure topic - it's a story of a woman who survives the 1727 smallpox epidemic on the island of Hirta, Scotland. The epidemic killed 90% of the inhabitants, and the island was speedily repopulated by the owner (MacLeod of Dunvegan), so much of the history of those who lived before has been lost. I did my best to reconstruct it, after several months of meticulous research. Anyway, if anyone wants to have a read, let me know.
