Read it for the first time in years after hearing First Tuesday Book Club panellists waffle on last night.

Unlike them, I wasn't a blubbering mess when I finished this short story...

During the tour to support Van Halen's For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge, singer/guitarist Sammy Hagar certainly took the record's title to heart. Because just about every night during Eddie's 20-minute guitar solo, Hagar would retreat to a hidden tent beneath the stage.

There, he would find five or six pre-selected completely naked female audience members, waiting for Sammy to **** them. In fact, Hagar says he had so much sex on that tour that for a while he actually wasn't able to climax anymore - no matter how hard he tried.

Good read so far. Its about an MI6 operative undercover in the IRA, who is convinced by the US to help them with getting to Saddam Huissein. Reads a bit like Rainbow 6 by Tom Clancy, which is still one of my favourite books.

Haha!

Begs the question:

Who would devote so much time and energy to writing a hate blog about her?

Has to be Marieke Hardy herself!

Just finished reading Jackie Stewart's "Winning Is Not Enough" and also Ahn Do's "The Happiest Refugee", both great books.

I'm now reading Bear Gryll's autobiography which is also proving a good story.

Each of these books contains some great life lessons and advice.

Next up, I have 5 Bill Bryson books just purchased off eBay...
