Caught the first show the other night. Thought it was pretty good. Not sure how much of it is doctored to make for good viewing though. Hopefully none!

It's a series that doesn't hold back!
Nudity, sex, language and violence in spades (might be an edited version).

A lot of people didn't like the first couple of episodes, but the quality improves.
Kind of like a low budget cross between '300' and 'Rome'.
A brief prequel is being made and a (delayed due to the star having treatment for cancer) second season of Spartacus will follow.

Has anyone ever watched Seven Periods with Mr Gormsby? It's a Kiwi comedy and it's absolutely f***ing hilarious. It used to be on ABC2 but I don't know if it's showing anywhere at the moment. I went out and bought the season 1 DVD.

Watched the whole 1st season last night. His punishment for the cartoon on the blackboard in the 1st episode had me spitting my coffee everywhere. Funny stuff. Will watch season 2 soon.

A real shame it's the last week of "Gruen Nation". I keep wondering where this funny, self deprecating, engaging John Hewson was back in 1993.
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...

Not enough juice in this bit of lightweight fluff.

Sitcom impersonating a drama.

Work much better as a half-hour.

Producers fought like hell to keep the terrible title.

Why?
