I was expecting better but it wasn't horrible but was starting to keep an eye on the time about 3/4 of the way through.

Taken 2,
An entertaining watch, but pretty meh compared to the original.

Inbetweeners 2.

Such high hopes to only be let down with what seemed like a script/ story line that wasn't thought through properly. Based on the TV series and show I expected/ wanted more.

I watched Shutter Island for the first time last night. Guessed the big twist about 45 mins in, and everything that happened after that, I kept thinking how it tied into what I thought, and I was right. It isn't very original and i think it ruined it for me coz I didn't get the big surprise at the end.

Good story, and good ending, but it wasn't very well disguised.

Expendables 3

Felt like it was trying to be a serious action movie without the fun or jokes from the cameos of #2

Sex Tape - Near naked Cameron Diaz speaks for herself and there were a few funny moments, but there were also periods of boredom. Not great, not crap, just meh.

Snowpiercer .. Didn't sound like much, but then I read a few reviews that got my hopes up. Was OK, nut good, not great, just Meh.

(Might have had more appeal on the big screen)

Expendables 3. I tried to like it but I am not dumb enough to really enjoy it. The all-star cast did just enough to stop it from being in the worst movies thread. It was very much a who's who of the action film genre of the last 30 years.

SPOILER ALERT

10 people wiping out an entire fully equipped army from an abandoned building was just a little much. I get that it's action fantasy but the excitement of watching a movie and not knowing what might happen makes it a little more entertaining for me.

Lol that's similar to my recollection of the Rambo movies - first one was excellent, then it became one man versus complete armies

I was 8-15 years old when the I saw the Rambo movies. Expendables 3 would have hugely benefited from me watching it when I was 8.

Definitely a movie you have to take with a grain of salt, I enjoyed it as I found it quite comical because of how ridiculous it was and that's how I felt about the Rambo movies, you just got to laugh at the farfetched things they do, so over the top it's funny IMO. The characters taking the piss out of the actors that play them is pretty funny too.
