From the creators of The Wire

"Not for the faint-hearted, this 7 hour mini-series spotlights Marines fighting in the Iraq war during the early onset of the conflict.
Marines prepare to invade Iraq at the beginning of Operation Iraqi Freedom; while the soldiers wait to recieve their orders they learn a Rolling Stones columnist will be imbedded with them."

A mate of mine got this and said it was quite good. Really keen to watch this.

I see The Wire is starting back up on ABC 2 again late on Friday nights, anyone know if this is the elusive Season 5? They only showed seasons 1-4 last time around.

Ive had season 5 on DVD for probably over 6 months now, but I keep putting off watching it because I know that once it's done my favourite series of all-time is finished (weird I know).

But in answer to your question, sorry, can't help.

Up to episode 245 of Prisoner (I watched alot in my week off last week). Vera, just after watching former fiance Terry Harrison shot, departs to take up the governorship at Barnhurst, resulting in Colleen Powell grovelling her way up the screw ladder. Vera is replaced by Janet Conway, who's currently shacking up with Fletch. Meanwhile, Sandy Edwards and Kate Peterson have arrived, and with Bea out of action with a kidney disease, Sandy assumes the top dog position with Bea's blessing.

245 will see the arrival of another new screw in Steve Faulkner and the return of riot extrodinaire Marie Winter, with the scene now set for the 1981 end of season cliffhanger - the Sandy Edwards riot (arguably the best riot in the series).

Over my holidays I watched Season 3,4,5,and 6 of The Shield. Great Show, I think I might prolong the experience and wait a while before buying the final season.

Up to episode 272 of Prisoner. Janet Conway has gone off and married prison printer operator Ian Mahoney (the actor who played Ian also played Inspector Thorn, the cop who arrests the Freak in the last episode). Po Face's daughter has also been kidnapped after stumbling upon a getaway car. However with Sandy 'missing', Kate in the funny farm and Marie back at Barnhurst, it's a rare lull moment in the 1982 season as we wait for the arrival of the Freak.
