Same - missed it on Monday night - so searched through the TV guide to see if there was a reply and there was O:)

I thought it was all round pretty good also.

Also thought that the main 'investigator' looked a lot like Russell Crowe..lol.

Wonder if they'll get the attitudes of the time right in this new series and not try and incorporate the attitudes of today which seems to happen a bit in TV shows and Movies that are based on events at least 30 years in the past.

One that really grated with me was in Hawke.

A scene was set in '82-83 and they had Beazley say "c-u next Tuesday".

At the very least, Razor should have the production design right.

Shot a fair bit around the soon-to-be-demolished Block, which should be a fairly faithful stand-in for 1920s Darlo.

Bet they somehow get that Aboriginal flag mural in shot.

By accident or design...

Another one that got me was when talking with Keating he said "Australia would end up being the white trash of the South Pacific."
The term White trash was definitely not in usage in Australia in the early 80's.

I didn't even bother. Got the first series on DVD. Pushed through the second. Got a couple of episodes into the 3rd and gave up.

Typical Aust TV, come up with a good concept and then flog it till it's so dead it even tarnishes everything that came before it.

I gave up when the first scene had a 1920's style band playing "The Nips are getting bigger" in the back ground.

Well said. They should have stopped after the second series. Everything since then has been absolute puss.

I nearly did at that point but hung in there. I think they were trying to "stylise the music' with a nod to a future. Either way it was dodgy.
Apart from that I thought the historical accuracy was pretty good, except the filter cigarettes. No filter cigarettes in the 1920s.

The other thing was Kate Leigh and Tilly Devine were not the best looking women in the world but I suppose casting ordinary looking women in their roles wouldn't rate.
