Well watched the finale to the Golden Mile on Sunday night and felt a bit let down by the big finish. It sort've petered out to nothing.... there was not even a blurb at the end saying what these people are actually doing now etc. I thought it was a bit of a fizzer in the end. The whole pace of the series was inconsistent too.

I want to see them do the next series on the biker subculture.. perhaps a look into the workings of hells angels, comanchero's and patched over bandidos... all culminating in the 1984 Milperra massacre as the big finale.

Another series of our finest sitcom comes to an end.

The rat licking blood off a near-naked Emma Booth had me in stitches.

Comedy gold!

This series it finally went from "bad" to "so bad it's good".

A guilty pleasure.

Various people have been attached to that project for years.

There was an even an ABC doco about it - One Percenters Search for a Screenplay.

The third edition was a pretty cheap and nasty effort, with fairly boring characters and stories.
At times it looked like they had the work experience kid directing, from a visual and continuity point of view.

Yeah was a bit dodgy at times. Too much emphasis on the look of it, such as the slow motion and strobe effects use. Like my grampa making his first home movie on windows movie maker! Mind you the script wasn't as good this time round. As far as the story goes though, nothing will top the 1st season I dont think. That was such an unbelievable story.. stranger than fiction kind. They concentrate on teh storyline and character development and not the boob placement.

I really liked the first series, lost interest in the second series about half way through but decided to see it out and only watched the first episode of the third series (whatever that was called) and then bailed. I believe these three tele-movies are being shown over the next three weeks so not a great deal of investment needed. I'll watch it tonight to see if the other two will be worth bothering with.

I didn't mind it - was interested in the story - even though I can't remember the actual event/murders for some reason.

A news article - some say the story was told 'too soon' after the shooting, which is a fair point.

I thought it was reasonably good television, I wouldn't get too carried away with it but it wasn't a waste of time sitting down to watch it either.

At least there was no sugar coating of what those two bastards did, or of their utter lack of conscience or remorse.

The daughters of the older killer must have been very close to facing charges themselves.

I don't watch a great deal of 'TV shows' so I'll take your word for it. To me it was 2 hours of pure boredom.

Turns out it got good ratings for last night but was way down on the previous first episodes of Underbelly:

Nine’s Underbelly telemovie Tell Them Lucifer was Here has pulled an audience of 1.37m , ranking as the #1 show for Monday night.

Its Melbourne audience was especially big with 519,000 ahead of 377,000 in Sydney and 196,000 in Brisbane. Melbourne was the setting for the true crime drama depicting the 1998 murder of two Victorian policemen.

But the numbers were down on previous Underbelly premieres (2010: 2.23m) possibly reflecting the challenges of a growing multichanneling environment -or the need for a longer marketing campaign.

Longer marketing campaign? I'm about ready to stab Ben Elton and William Shatner.

It's how TV people think. They've run Underbelly into the ground like they always do with successful formats but don't want to accept that might be the reason ratings are going south.
