Thanks for the heads up on this one, LMA. Almost done with season one and it's really grown on me. A good amount of intrigue and interesting characters.

And some miserable weather, looks a depressing place. I found the later seasons fizzled a bit at times but still very watchable.

surprisingly excellent. better than most aussie dramas, and hasnt turned into a soap opera yet like OITNB did. maybe it will in the future though

Yeah cheers for the heads up on this one also .. We're about halfway thru season 1 and it's pretty gripping stuff, albeit the subject matter is quite confronting at times. I love that it's set in Seattle. Some of the shows I've enjoyed most over the last 12 months have been set in cities that get less coverage than say NY, LA or Chicago. Quarry (Memphis), Fargo (Minnesota) and now the Killing are all good shows, and my fascination with the cities only adds to it.

Seems like Seattle is America's London.

Big call. Really enjoyed series 1, setting the scene for it all. Series 3 more brutal, that's for sure.

Just finished season 3, whilst it was really good I still think Season 1 was the best. Pablo just had so much screen presence, you were captivated by him every time.

"Stranger Things" season 2, anyone?

So far (four episodes in) I'm still enjoying it as much as the first.

Very good film from an awful part of history
I’ve been to Cambodia many times and it portrayed the people and time well
The battle scenes were a bit underdone (probably to save money) but overall worthwhile watching
I’ll get my bro who has lived in Cambodia and Vietnam for past 10 years to watch it

The last season was a bit average IMHO (compared to previous), so a good decision regardless of Spacey's inclinations.

Morning Jimmy, yep watched recently. Not a bad flick - Hollywood style with the real survivors shown at the end, but I liked the all Khmer cast. I heard numerous stories like this over the years. What is good is that it puts it into a main stream style so more people can comprehend what happened. Not many films done on the KR time over the years, so good to see this one done. Jolie got into strife a bit as she paid bribes to officials in Battambang to make it, in fact... As they say "TIC" - This is Cambodia!

Joined Netflix yesterday for something to do during my holidays.

Is it just me, or is it the most over rated thing ever?

I've watched the Gilmore Girls new eps, some phineas and ferb and I've got a couple of crime shows lined up.

There is literally nothing else on that remotely takes my fancy (that I haven't already seen)

Lucky the first month is free, I'm certainly don't have any plans to pay anything for this crap.
Don't play games with a girl who can play 'em better...

So you signed up to watch things you have already watched?

Of course you wouldn’t want to pay for that!

The Netflix produced shows are mostly excellent

There's some great stuff on Netflix, as benny suggests, but there is also a shitload of crap on it IMHO. Certainty preferable to the dearth of quality entertainment on free to air. I think you have to spend some time navigating it and perhaps roll the dice on watching a few things you might not typically dig.

If you're child of the 80s the Stranger Things is definitely worth a look.
