Maybe a "celebrity" big brother would be a better option for 2010.

They had one a few years back, but i can't really remember much of it, but from what i remember it wasn't too bad......

Warrick Capper was in it!

Big Brother may be reborn

July 17, 2008 09:05am

JUST when you thought it was safe... Big Brother may get a second life on the Nine Network.

"It's run its race in its present form," Nine chief executive David Gyngell said yesterday, The Australian reports.

"I still think it has some life in it in another form. Channel Nine will be looking at it."

The eight-year-old reality show ends on the Ten Network on Monday night.

Nine will hold talks with owners Endemol Southern Star about an overhaul.

"Big Brother was a very good show at its height and it is useful for the economic benefit it brings," Mr Gyngell said.

Mr Gyngell praised Ten's handling of the show.

"Ten paid a lot of money for it and they needed to get as much value as they possibly could, so they ran a lot of hours," he said.

"But running so many hours puts a big strain on a show. In its present form, it's not sustainable.

"But it delivers good numbers among the 16- to 24-year-olds, which is good for any network."

Dumped Big Brother on move

July 20, 2008 12:30am

THE voice of Big Brother, Aaron Lucas, is on his way to Adelaide.
With BB now headed for the TV scrapheap, Lucas, 31, is in the job market. He heard about a journo gig at Nova and FIVEaa, duly applied, and was successful.

But the Sydney boy admits it's going to be a wrench to leave BB, based in Queensland.

"I absolutely love it," he said. "The house becomes like a bubble and you are the only person who has contact with the housemates. It's bizarre.

"I liaise with all the other producers each day as to how the show will go. It's pretty demanding."

Aaron gets into town late next month.
