I'll just go straight to getting a back up copy I reckon...

A very different build up to the Benji killing I thought - a lot of tension prior to the munsters shooting but the Benji one was just "let's talk" then 10 seconds later it was done.

It would be really strange as an actor to see yourself lying on the floor in a pool of blood with a hole in your noggin.

I had thought the same thing smac re the Benji killing, reckon the producers wanted to leave some speculation re Gatto getting off on self defense rather than showing this to be true (not that everything else in the show has been totally factual).

Spot on Maskedman, given Gatto's acquittal I thought they did it really well, still suggesting it probably wasn't self defense, but they didn't portray that conclusively.

If there was one criticism of the show (IMHO only), I think perhaps they telegraph the next victim too often.

It doesn't bother me as Im pretty well up with the order of events and who lives/dies anyway, but for those who haven't taken an interest in it and just began watching the series, it could be disappointing that some things are a little too obvious.

The more I've watched it, the more I think it's an outstanding series, as good as any Australian production I've ever seen.

The guys playing Condello and Gatto have been awesome in their roles.

Well one more episode to go...

Last nights was quite good, but IMO they are really trying to squeeze it all in now.

The obligatory sex scene was worthwhile, as was the couple of "assassinations"..

Gonna be a big episode next week, assuming they'll cover Williams getting arrested...

The shame of being killed by Coln Carpenter.

Not one of the best episodes, felt squashed (as mentioned by Jabber).

It was really hard to take him seriously as all i could think of was Coln Capenter when he was on screen.

Kym Gygnell was very good as the "un-named hitman" (hint: think back to who Chopper Read had a war with in Pentridge- ex P&D....)

I think the tone has been set now anyway, so they can speed things up a bit.
People know who's who in the zoo & who's up who.
would love to plow both Zarah Garde-Wilson & the actress who played her.
A 3some even- hmmmmm....... =P~ =P~ =P~

Just read back on the pages and a few people talked about the title if you see in the opening credits its based on the book "Leadbelly" I can only assume "Leadbelly + Underworld = UNDERBELLY". Will also be in line next week for the DVD realise only show i have ever tuned into every week.

Also there was a decent chick that Benji picked up in the strip joint but she left with a bloke who name escapes me now. Then of course Benji offs him.

Leadbelly is what encompases the Melbourne Underworld War.
There is also a series of books called Underbelly (1-11), which is based on true crime.
Underbelly refers to the "underbelly of society".... (one interpretation)

Finale was good last night with the intro speeding thru the previous episodes to bring you up to date with what to expect in the last show.

Good old Roberta mouthing f@&k off to the cops when they turned up to arrest Carl was classy.

Only down side was seeing Condello's saggy old butt when getting his massage with a happy ending.

Only question I have is that the at the conclusion, the narrator chicky says something along the lines about this is the day the war ended ... She then goes on to say how Condello was later killed whilst on trial - How do they know it wasn't linked to everything else that had happened?

That will get answered in series 2 !! Condello gets popped the night after having dinner with Gatto... :-k :-k
Apparently series 2, will filling in the story line a bit more, so the other stuff that happened will be covered.

Means the whole cast including Alphonse gets to return

Just hope that "Happy Finish" massage girl returns =P~

Very good episode to end the series...

Series 2 is meant to be a prequel yeah?

Just makes me think either the authorities or script writers must have some idea as to Condello's likely killer if they reported the war to be over before his death?

mighty kitten- it cost them 13 million to make this series!
I think they cover it quite well- they cover the main players, that's all that counts.
Graeme Kinniburgh doesn't appeear too often throughout the series... :?

gee it seems as if they might be making a prequel.......interesting, given it cost so much to do!!!!!!!!
