Can anyone remember a bad episode from either of these?

Yeah there were a few stinky Kirstie Alley episodes but on the whole Cheers was gold

Well your memory is better than mine Zipzap.
Judging by your statement, you seem to be an Alley hater.
A couple of my friends are Cheers fans as well and they've told me they
couldn't stand her. I didn't mind her and thought that if Shelly Long has stayed
then the show would have ended sooner.
The new character and her relationship with Sam gave the writers al ot more material to work with.

I didn't hate her but I preferred Shelley Long's character by miles, just because it was so much fun watching her get under Sam's skin and vice versa.
There were some episodes where Alley got really whiny and annoying. Still better than a lot of other shows of its kind though.
Did you ever get into Newhart? I'd name that alongside Cheers as one of the best sitcoms of the 80s.

DEADWOOD as far as I'm concerned is without a doubt THE best show on telly!
When I first saw it, the hotel proprieter & future mayor 'E.B. Farnum' I instantly recognised
as "My name is Larry, this is my brother Daryl & this is my other brother Daryl!"
from that old sitcom NEWHART...
I hate to say it, even in the episode when Sheriff Seth Bullock beat the crap outa him,
I still couldn't take Ol' E.B. seriously!
(He'll always be 'Larry' to me I'm afraid!)

No I didn't. Don't know why though, from what I saw of it, I know it would have been
something I would have enjoyed.

Just seen the movie, and it's a cracker.

The Bart skateboard scene is hillarious.
For me, possibly the funniest thing happens during the opening theme song when Homer says 'why would you pay for something you can watch for free on TV?' Gold by Groening.

If you don't like The Simpsons movie, you aren't a true Simpsons fan IMO.

Won't give any more away for those who haven't had a chance to see it yet.

Thought the first half was really good, second half I think i might've laughed once. Thought too much time was wasted on the EPA guy and the little Irish kid, would've rathered seen Lenny, Carl, Moe, Barney Mr Burns, etc worked into it more.

*Mafia being stopped dumping dead body in the lake*
Fat Tony: Uh, we will take our lawn clippings elsewhere then.
Lou: Uh chief, I think that was a dead body.
Chief Wiggum: Didn't you hear, he said it was lawn clippings. You gotta learn to listen Lou.

^^Funniest bit.

I do agree the 2nd half a wasn't as good as the start. Why Alaska? Should've gone to Shelbyville!

I also agree the fringe characters could have been used more. Instead of new EPA guy, why not have Lenny or Carl become the EPA guy in a strage twist? Plus I was expecting a final appearance by Moe after the credits, not the pimply teenager.

Any why was McBain called Arnold Schwartzenegger? The whole McBain joke is poking fun at Arnie, so why actually call him Arnie? Should've been Pres. McBain.

Was a cracking movie though. I laughed my ass off at the brilliant 1 liners at the start.

Maggies first words...'sequel' - hope it happens!

For yonks the 'Simpsons Movie' was overpushed, overhyped & rammed down our throats!
However, like the last couple of series of the T.V. show...
Sure it had its moments, but truly a shadow of it's former self!

he he, spider pig was funny, my kids haven't stopped singing it.
Highlight for me was before the movie started when Ralph Wiggum was singing to the 20th Century Fox theme!
