All your opinions can't be taken seriously from this point forward.

Daniel Day Lewis (There will be blood)
Robert Carlyle (Trainspotting, Hitler)
Gary Oldman (Sid and Nancy, The Fifth Element)
Johnny Depp (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas)

Don't believe any one actor is better than the rest, but some have just monster'd a role.

I honestly think Cruise is a decent actor despite seeming to be a Scientological tool in his personal life. As said though, not top 3. I do however think that his best work is past him and he peaked early with roles like "Born on the 4th of July". Now he seems more intent on getting up to Mi10 rather than challenging himself too much.

Johnny Depp has only had 1 top class performance in Fear and Loathing. The rest is meh. Like many actors. A great story/script can make any actor seem great.

David Thewlis (Naked)

Tom Cruise was okay in Risky Business, but after that it's all over acting.

Jack Nicholson was a damn GOOD actor. The Last Detail, One Flew Over, Chinatown, The Shining.

1. Denzel Washington - Although a lot of his roles have basically been the same of late. His stuff up until around 2006 was brilliant.
2. Leonardo DiCaprio - Hated him growing up, mainly because every girl at our high school wanted to root him. Excellent actor though. Brilliant in the Departed and Blood Diamond.
3. Brad Pitt - Inglourious Basterds. Nuff said.
