Some very good nominations there.

One movie not mentioned thus far is "The Green Mile" - Tom Hanks and the African-American prisoner were both splendid.

I also rate The Shawshank Redemption for a very even but high standard acting performance from all the main players.

Matthew Broderick - Ferris Bueller's Day Off ;) Then there was also 'Sloane'...

Lastly, the guy who plays the role of Hitler in all the You Tube parodies is also worth a mention - such a diversity of performances and yet he is nearly always great
Steve Bradbury and Michael Milton. Aussie Legends.

A group of us were out one night and somebody said - "Who would you listen to, reading the phone book aloud, for the sheer quality of their voice?" Alan Rickman was my first choice.

Agreed but to call the same thing done for the 5000th time 'a great acting performance' is missing the mark. Plenty of funny moments in Heartbreak Ridge. The bit with the Swede was a killer.

Seems to be a theme here with actors playing retards. I think Robert Downey Jnr summed it up best. Never go full retard.
