I think that part saved the show last night.
I was getting pretty bored.
As Smaccer said, the first ep was very mundane and cliched.
The Purple Heart's death after getting married was as inevitable as the family dog surviving in a disaster film.

It's been a lot harder 'connecting' with the main characters in this one that Band of Brothers I think. BOB basically followed the same blokes the whole way through which meant you got to know the main characters.

The series has still been very entertaining and I will buy it on DVD, but it hasn't reached the heights that BOB did for mine.

Agreed ginger. I have enjoyed alot each week but it hasn't even come close to the greatness of Band of Brothers
