Reakon that's a big reason why Rafters is such a big hit.

While every other local show is about cops, docs and lawyers, Rafters is about the people next door.

Viewers identify with the show because they know the people in it...

Proabably why many of us dont like it, the last thing I want to do is watch a show that reminds me of my own life. I see TV ( entertainment ) as taking me away from my own life for a while....

When I went to Adelaide I watched my first ever episode of this shyte and the episode seemed to go on forever and ever. Alarm bells began to ring when my sister said it was a good show. Instead of heading off to Cafe de Villis to eat a Curry Pie and wash down an Iced Coffee (I was a bit put off by the robbery) I ended up watching the program.

UTTER SHYTE

Perhaps the reason why most Australians hate Aussie TV is beacause it is unwatchable formulaeic garbage. Strictly by the numbers.....The Castle Lite.....even if a much younger Rebecca Gibney starrred in it the show could not be saved.
