Sadly, reading this thread has reminded me that I know the songs backwards of many of these shows: (from memory here, and it's kind of worrying that I reckon I'm pretty right on all of these)

Who lives down in deepest darkest Africa
Who's the one who brought the jungle fame
Who believes in doing good and doing right
Kimba the White Lion is his name
When we're in some trouble and we're in a scrap
Who's the one who just won't turn and run
Who believes in doing good and doing right
Kimba the White Lion is the one

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
A tale of a fateful trip
That started from a tropic port
Aboard this tiny ship.
The mate was a mighty sailing man,
The skipper brave and sure.
Five passengers set sail that day
For a three hour tour, a three hour tour.
The weather started getting rough,
The tiny ship was tossed,
If not for the courage of the fearless crew
The minnow would be lost, the minnow would be lost.
The ship set down upon the shore of this uncharted desert isle
With Gilligan
The Skipper too,
The millionaire and his wife,
The movie star
The professor and Mary Ann,
Here on Gilligans Isle.

Here's the story of a lovely lady
Who was bringing up three very lovely girls.
All of them had hair of gold, like their mother,
The youngest one in curls.
Here's the store, of a man named Brady,
Who was busy with three boys of his own,
They were four men, living all together,
Yet they were all alone.
Till the one day when the lady met this fellow
And they knew it was much more than a hunch,
That this group would somehow form a family.
That's the way we all became the Brady Bunch.

Green acres is the place for me.
Farm livin' is the life for me.
Land spreadin' out so far and wide
Keep Manhattan, just give me that countryside.
New York is where I'd rather stay.
I get allergic smelling hay.
I just adore a penthouse view.
Darling I love you but give me Park Avenue.

Family Ties
I bet we've been together for a million years,
And I bet we'll be together for a million more.
Oh, It's like I started breathing on the night we kissed,
And I can't remember what I ever did before.
What would we do baby, Without Us?

Laverne and Shirley
Give us any chance, we'll take it.
Give us any rule, we'll break it.
We're gonna make our dreams come true.
Doin' it our way.
Roger Woodcock -- 602 goals from a forward flank makes you a legend.

Great subject CP !
You've got the hamsters spinning their wheel in overdrive up in 'the top paddock'.
My childhood obviously contained too much box, not enough books. Though I don't recall
getting too much box as a teenager.
 Who did ?

Crusader Rabbit, Hercules, Clutch Cargo, Courageous Cat & Minute Mouse, Mr Squiggle,
Romper Room, TCN9 Sydney’s Children’s Show with Desmond Tester featuring the
Caper Cops, The Huckleberry Hound Show, Video Village, Wrestling with Jack Little,
The Beatles (cartoon), Circus Boy (I think the part of Corky was played by a very young
Mickey Dolenz, who went on to be The Monkeys drummer, so there’s their TV show as well),
The Samurai, Phantom Agents, Combat, The Gallant Men, 12 O’Clock High,
Bonanza, Wyatt Earp, Daniel Boone, Robin Hood, The Invisable Man, The Village,
Star Trek, Prince Planet, Rin Tin Tin, The Littlest Hobo, McHale’s Navy, William Tell,
Ivanhoe, The Saint, The Avengers, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Dr. Who, Rag Trade,
Gomer Pyle, Superman, Top Cat, Flintstones, Dobie Gilles, original Dave Allen Show,
Paul Hogan, Bandstand, Bobby Limb, GTK, IMT, Touche Turtle, Quickdraw McGraw,
Addams Family, The Munsters, Beverly Hillbillies, Gilligan’s Island, On the Buses,
Please Sir, Gidget, Flying Nun, Silent Service, Casey Jones, Broken Arrow, Cheyenne,
77 Sunset Strip, Hawaiian Eye, Laugh-In, Beauty & the Beast, Consider Your Verdict,
Perry Mason, Dragnet, My Friend Flicker, Skippy, Flipper, Tarzan, Jungle Jim, Circus
with Don Ameche (might have been called The Big Top), Green Acres, Pettycoat Junction,
3 Stooges, I Spy, Disneyland, Sea Hunt, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Pick A Box,
Concentration, Tell The Truth (my father was in an episode and won an overnight bag)
All the American hosted shows – Jackie Gleeson, Milton Berle, Red Skelton, Dean Martin,
Jack Benny, George Burns & my favourite You Bet Your Life with Groucho Marx.

I’ll probably remember 100’s more after a cuppa tea, a Bex and a good lie down.
Maybe we should start a thread about earliest memories of advertisments that came on
whilst viewing these memorable programmes. Remembering Bex brings back –
Vincent’s Powders (Take Vincent’s with confidence !) Who could forget Dr. McKenzie’s
Menthoids….That’s M.E.N…T.H…O.I…D.S. !

Can’t help wondering if all those ‘Mother’s little helpers’ caused more liver damage and
cancer than the original ‘Mother’s ruin’, namely Gin.

Good 'morrow Lady Jaselda. I've heard of those two but obviously didn't watch them.
Can you remember roughly what they were about ?

This thread is probably the best place to scream HELP at the 'brains trust'.
Can anyone remember the name of the Australian series which had a very young, very 'HOT',
Pamela Stephenson, playing the part of a 'girl friday' to a dapper young 007 style, private
detective bloke, who solved various crimes and battled half-arsed baddies.
If I recall, the plots and some acting left a lot to be desired, but no red blooded Aussie bloke
watching gave a 'flying fish up a fig tree !' We were all to busy giving Miss S. the right royal Merv.
=P~
Billy Connelly is one lucky S.O.B.
Brains and beauty !
And Pam's not bad either !

...and a very good 'morrow to your good self Lord SABRE

ok I've had to cheat a bit cos it's been about 35 years since they were on and the memory ain't what it used to be.

I do know that Tandarra was the sequel to Cash & Co. I also seem to remember that they were a bit like Alias Smith and Jones...lovable, humorous rogues on the run but not quite as good looking ;) and I can remember the little fat one who wore what I think was a bowler hat and always had a cigar but for more than that I've had to resort to the dreaded Wiki...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cash_and_Company
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tandarra

This is the best I can find in the way of a picture clue...

Cheers JAS,
Yeah, I vaguely remember it, but probably didn't latch on to it because Gerrard was, to me, too
type cast as either a cop or a crim and I couldn't take Gus seriously after he became the
'Roof Fairy' and sold pink insulation bats on TV & radio !
I took your lead an gave Wiki a spin. I think the show co-starring Pam Stephenson was called Hunter
with Rod Mullinar as the main character.
