I reckon Chris got sent home because the judges thought he was a smartarse knob. I agree with you though Hondo (cant believe I am saying that), the food he cooked last night was shite.

As for Julie, if one drop of sweat from her face hits the food she is cooking, I reckon I will spew up.

Poh is a dead set certainty.

I normally detest reality shows, but this one has actually sucked me in. It is refreshing to see judges trying to be positive unlike other reality shows that seem to be into humiliation and putting people down.

I agree with Hondo, Julie was a clear winner, over Chris. Sh*t I like meat but his stuff is over the top. Julie displayed more passion than the other two when it came to her ideas for the cook book. It's all about selling books and the type of food Julie prepares appeals to a vast number of people. I think the cuddly sweaty mum will beat the beautiful and exotic Poh.

Who ACTUALLY knows what Julie's food tasted like? The judges could have talked it up something chronic to justify her getting through.

Thing is, and my missus was right onto it, Poh doesn't have a great fan base, nor does Chris, coz everyone hates that smug greasy prick, so Julie was always going to be the obvious "winner".

Unless Poh wins on Sunday.

TBH, I feel that the 2 younger women who got kicked off this week were ahead of Chris and Julie. Julia especially was coming home strong and knocking out some cracker dishes.

Unfortunately Chris turned in a performance that couldn't even beat someone who didn't finish everything! I don't think anything's rigged about it. Donna Hay tried to give him some tips before he started about his plans for "brown" food but he just couldn't resist all that meat!

IMO, some time spent on decent side dishes, trying to get some colours on to the plate and a quality looking dessert would have seen him through. Tar black beef with a token bit of green grass on top just wasn't going to cut it.

As I said before, I also can't gt past him serving up a steak, roasted bone and 1 minute green salad to all those expert guests (incl Margaret Fulton). How ridiculous. It was like he sat around for 1 hour 45 minutes and then spent the last 15 cooking his dish. He just doesn't have the finesse unless he is wrote following a recipe and forced to make the effort.

Exactly my point. That's why she's still there.

Er, Julie threw some brown chicken onto brown mashed potato floating in brown gravy. Next course, lamb (skin browned) with brown roast potatoes. To top it off, fecking chocolate cake! To misquote Spinal Tap: "It's like, how much more brown could this be? and the answer is none. None more brown".

But don't you know, those green things on Chris' plate were brown. The only thing not brown on any of Julies 3 plates were the...plates.

As for buying a cook book that has a blank section in it for " my own recipes ", Fk me, thats why a I want a ccok book, so I can get some recipes, if I knew some great recipes worth writing down I wouldn't need your ******* book !

And he still couldn't beat her because his dishes didn't deliver on taste. Her dishes, even unfinished, looked better and cleaner on the plate and tasted better.

Chris is a grunt/blokey chef who is very good, don't get me wrong. But he blew it on the night. Be frustrated with him, not the show! He stuffed up when it counted. And not for the first time.

PS: If Donna Hay gives her were seal of approval of a cook book idea then that's gold. She is a cook book money making machine.

PS2: Donna Hay's books have lots of chocolate (brown) recipies. When she said "brown" she was talking meat and gravy style dishes. He himself said he didn't really take time on his presentation when that was the main point of the final. Yes, Julie's was shades of brown and gold but she used the white plate far better. Chris just smothered his plattes in meat.

Julie was also the only one who had a clear vision of her cookbook.

Reakon she could be onto a winner.

Probably appeal to the same people who buy Donna Hay and Margaret Fulton cookbooks.

Chris and Poh's pitches were half-ar$ed.

Did you hear her idea for her family themed cookbook?? The final chapter would be blank so your family can write its own chapter! That's just taking the piss.

Love this thread. Pig anus, lol lol.

Love the show actually.

I'll go for the South Australian "Oh no Oh Poh" "Pohlercoaster" on Sunday. However Julie is very popular with the judges when push comes to shove.

I have also been hooked by this show, they stress alot though when they are cooking there food. they have ample time to cook everything as well. they are going to find alot harder when they work in real kitchens and they have there head chefs yelling at them, if they move in to Chefing
