Seems not many people have heard of Peep Show - it's usually tucked away late on ABC2 but there have been 5 series of it and more to come. Amazingly original approach to comedy, thoroughly recommended. Stars the guys from That Mitchell and Webb Look, but don't let that put you off.

Other than that,
The Office
Young Ones
Fawlty Towers
Kenny Everitt's Video Show
Goodies
an old sketch comedy show which called Who Dares Wins
The League of Gentlemen
Tom Baker era Dr Who
Later...With Jools Holland
Never Mind the Buzzcocks

Love Brit TV...why do we get so much American tripe??

During the World Cups and Euro Championships back in the 90's SBS used to screen Fantasy World Cup with baddiel & Skinner. I guess it could be compared to before the game altho these guys never really got into any depth about the games just took the pi$$ out of everything. used to get a couple of famous guests then just sit there mocking everything.

At the end of every show they would do "Phoenix from the Flames" where they would re-create a a famous moment in World cup / Euro Champs. If your a soccer (football) fan and havent seen it definitely worth YouTubing!!

Unless I've missed them I thought you'd all be into Gordon Ramsey and any soccer match too or don't you get that over there.
