My thoughts seem to echo the general consensus of other posters, Kitchen Nightmares Pommy series is better than the USA series which is miles better than Hell's Kitchen. On H.K. Ramsey seems to try too hard to live up to his reputation and surely they can't be cooking that badly.

On another note, the head chef that was on the episode last night (8/5) was a classic. He went home and knocked up his missus after the oyster shucking and eating contest!!

That loudmouth Gordon Ramsay's pretty game abusing & belittling staff in a
kitchen full of sharp knives, boiling water/oil, meat tenderisers & such!

The abused & belittled staff would also be game to make use of said objects in the presence of TV cameras

All these kind of shows are contrived...if it was Ramsey and the staff sitting around discussing business plans and profit margins and menu's you'd be bored sh*tless. The sad thing is that so many people are so desperate for their 15 minutes of fame that they are happy to allow themselves to apparently be abused and belittled in front of millions.

I refuse to watch any of them or that Springer/Oprah type crap...and if you think phone votes and competitions empower you...think again if they are run the same way as ours....ooooh sorry rant over

I can't stand Oliver but I love Gordon Ramsay, the missus was watching the shows and I got hooked.
Love Hells Kitchen, funny as buggery when he starts throwing food around or banging his head against the wall.
Never laughed so hard as in the 2nd or 3rd series when the big fat asian cowboy Aaron started crying.
Enjoying the 4th season on fox at the moment, hoping Julia comes back this week as I know someone joins the show.
