Many classics listed here ...!

Faulty Towers always cracks me up even tho its dated now.

Men Behaving Badly also right up there. As is 'Frontline' for an Aussie flavour.

But the one I could watch over and over is 'The Office' UK version. The US version is pretty good too. I must sneak a look at 'The Extras' for more of their humour.
In between signatures .....

Fawlty Towers definitely, still very clever stuff, but one of the best Australian ones for mine is Frontline. Can never watch any of the current affairs shows without thinking back to some of those classic episodes...when they discuss doing a show similar to the old Angry Anderson "Challenge" episodes...

"It's got "A Current Affair" stamped all over it"
"Well, let's just stamp "Frontline" over the top of that"
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...

Seinfeld
by a mile (very cleverly written, brilliantly acted)

then in no particular order:

Yes Minister/Prime Minister
Cheers
Get Smart
Kingswood Country
Men Behaving Badly
Mash
Ab Fab
Young Ones
Blackadder
Mr Bean
Red Dwarf
Dave Allen - not sure if that counts as a series though
Porridge
Open All Hours
Dad's Army
It Aint Half Hot Mum
Acropolis Now
Fawlty Towers
Friends
The Goodies
The Drew Carey Show
Frasier

As you can tell, I love comedy series-es (?). I can't stand drama series, they bore me to tears.

Cambridge Clarrie wrote:I'd have to say Fawlty Towers was 10/10 pure genius though and gets my vote... Come to think of it, I don't think there was a single weak episode out of the two seasons.

The yanks just don't seem to be able to produce a series of similar quality IMHO...

I used to think the same, but I have to respect the Americans for producing comedy series with class and longevity.

Black Adder
Cheers
Faulty Towers
Seinfeld
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Goodies
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail
