Sandra has now won 2 series and pocketed 2mil on the way yet she has never won or even been close to winning any challenge in her own right. Clearly her strategy of riding on the coat tails of others is a winner!

I believe the show lets itself down with the dury voting as now we have 2 pathetic winners in the last 2 shows because some feel they where" LIED TO " get over it it is a game and Russel played it as am sure the producer would want..

The jury system is stupid and allows talentless nitwits like Courtney to play favourites and hold all the power.

However, like Probst says, it's always been this way. That's how Survivor works. That's why Sandra (who admits she has watched and loved every series) has won twice and Russell (who said before last season's Samoa he had never even watched it) will never, ever win it.

I don't think it should go to popular vote but I wish the jury were made more accountable, ie. given a strict framework on which to base their vote. Just being friends is not good enough IMO.

I disagree Russell isn't the best player as he neglected the jury system, which is clearly part of the game and has been for 20 seasons. As many of the jury said last night yes you have to lie and deceive it is part of the game but there are ways and means are doing it. You have to be conscious of that is what will ultimately decide the winner.

The key to this game is building relationships, yes challenges and immunity idols will help you but at the end of the day who wins survivor is the person who best builds relationships witht eh other competitors.

Russell is like a footy team that wins a minor premiership and gets to the GF but doesn't salute....

Last night watching the show i agreed with Porbst about the social aspect of the game. But im changing my mind. OUTWIT, OUTLAST, OUTPLAY......Russell gets votes for atleast two of those, where the other girls prob score on one each. At the end of the day Russell did what he had to to get to the end, Sandra did absolutely nothing and needed a lot of luck to get where she got to. Maybe the vote should be who outwitted (3,2,1 votes)....who outlasted (3,2,1 votes)....and who outplayed (3,2,1 votes) rather than sour grapes dictate winners.

Wanted Russell to win, knew he wouldn't do to the make up of the voting system.

Agree with everyone that the current system does not support the most entertaining players, but given that IS the system, Russell needs to learn to play within it.

So what can they do? If they change it so that the Jury don't vote then what system do you use? Public vote based on their entertainment? In which case you then get issues with marketing campaigns and people from bigger cities getting more "home-town" votes than the smaller guys. You also will end up having a game where everyone is out to be the one to "make the big move", there will be no loyalty at all and it will basically become random as to who gets voted out each week. The "Luck" factor will become bigger than ever which I don't think anyone wants.

I agree the current system lends itself to coat-tailing, but i don't see a suitable alternative.
