Zombieland starts great, but finishes poorly.

Just watched 127 hours. Great movie considering a Danny Boyle didn't have much to work with.

The Kings Speech must damn good to beat True Grit, Black Swan and 127 hours for an Academy Award.

Ticked all the Academy's boxes.

Solid film but overrated.

Just read David Seidler's brilliant script.

Based on his play.

Deserved 'Best Original Screenplay'...

Went with the missus to watch THOR in 3D last night.
I'm still not sold on whether 3D adds anything to the movie experience and the glasses are just a pain in the arse IMO.
Anyway, great movie. Was thoroughly entertained throughout.
Had its share of good battle scenes, dashes of humour and a touch of romance for all the ladies.
Chris Hemsworth plays the mighty Thor and does a classic job, a long way beyond his years on Home and Away.
His chiselled rig also sent tingles into the nether regions of females in the audience judging by the giggling when he was in shirtless in the odd scene.
Natalie Portman also stars in this one, although not in an overly prominent role.
Portman is undoubtedly sexy but remains clothed throughout the movie. Damn.
Good story line, special effects were solid and actors were convincing.
This is by no means an Oscar winner, but hell, if you want to watch something you don't have to think about too hard, this is your cup of tea.
I'd give it a 7.5 rounded up to an 8 if you're in that "Sunday night" mood.
Right in front of me. RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!

Did anyone watch Gomorrah on SBS 2 last night, brilliant film/documentary showing how the commorra ( naples mafia ) infuriates families & individuals in all forms, absolutely brutal & ruthless. It shows the people’s lives as they actually are - nasty, brutal, short and tragically disposable. There is no redemption for these people, and there is no light at the end of the tunnel for the environment they live and die in.

Yeah, that was a good show. They have some great shows on SBS 2 and ABC 2. That was also directed by Scorcese wasn't it???

Friday The 13th part VII-The New Blood. Not good but decent. Been a long time since I last saw it and forgot all about the sleeping bag hit.
