Sport and current affairs does it for me. I struggle to sit through 30sec promos of reality tv let alone torturing myself with an hour of carp. Stuff like Midsomer Murders and New Tricks are great

Biggest problem with "The Voice", is that it is artificial - the Producers apparently seek out the contestants. It all appears to be a bit of a con.

The only "reality tv" is the footage shot and put live to air. Sport, 9/11, tsunami, Christmas Pageant, parliament. Unedited and manipulated so it is real.

I saw one person last night while flicking channels

It was the guy who both parents died when he was 6 or something.
It was just so set up how seal asked him where he got the tone in his singing or something. What happened to you in the past to cause this
And he goes on to say how both parents died which helped him sing the way he does.

I changed channel

Agreed.

Delta Goodrem comes across as a real c**t of a person.

Although I am critical of "The Voice", I do watch it. I just have a problem with the way its produced.

My main criticism though is the fact that an imported "mentor" from the USA on a talent program, can be judged "best new talent". That is truly ridiculous. The Australian tv industry (drama/comedy etc) needs to pull its finger out.

The only problem with that is that Australia really doesn't have much in the way of talent. To make matters worse, some of us seem to have an inferiority complex when compared to what's coming out of the U.S.

Just saw footage of the Johnny Rotten interview on The Project.

He didn't seem overly impressed with Carrie Bickmore.

Tonight on The Voice...

Lara Parker-Kent's performance was truly amazing...

She turned the greatest anthem ever recorded - Living on a Prayer - into a maudlin bore...
