Off to see Tripod on Friday Night - then heading to the Garden to sample some of their Unearthly Delights.

Will post a report afterwards.

Had tickets to the 9:30 show of "Shakespeare On Love" last night. Booked in for dinner at the restaurant across the road. About 8 PM, almost finished dinner, I got a call on the mobile advising that the show had been cancelled due to bad weather.

Tripod vs the Dragon.

It was a show about Dungeons and Dragons, which sort of bothered me at the start, not my thing, but soon got caught up in the Tripod thing. Very funny songs, hilarious use of an overhead projector and Elana Stone was amazing as The Dragon - she has a great voice.

Gatesy was the star performer for me.

Due to the poor weather, we only spent about 30 minutes in the Garden afterwards, but we did go for a walk down North Tce to look at the Northern Lights - very well done.

Tripod vs the Dragon - 3/5 Spears of Knowledge.

Highly recommend Smart Casual - 10:30pm nightly @ the Pod, inside the Garden. Tickets $22.75 for an hour show, hilarious story through song about being half brothers and meeting their dads.

Great songs include:

There's a Polar Bear at my party - He's drinking Bundy
Gavin the Seagull bully
Hawk Hawkins (Stephen Hawking & Jennifer Hawkins love child)
Please don't dance Ellen Degeneres

4.5/5

I'm off for my annual dose of George Kapinaris at the Cavern Club tonight.

Might see the Northern Lights afterwards (haven't seen them in person before)
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

Along North Terrace between Kintore Avenue and about Pulteney Street, there are several projectors setup that display different lights and patterns on the buildings. The patterns change every few minutes and is quite effective.

Worth a look.
