New Aussie doco about the infamous black power fist salute at the '68 Olympic looks a cracker.

Starts next week, July 17.

I'll look forward to that. Heard somebody,might have been the other bloke on the dais who is an Aussie,I think,being interviewed on the radio. Although my memory of the incident is dim as I was very young,I do remember that there was general outrage over it. According to the interview I heard, the incident was misreported or misrepresented and the 2 blokes were not in fact radical militants as they were portrayed and the third fellow was sympathetic to their stance,rather than embarrassed by their action.

Yep, he was an Aussie. Peter Norman.

He was made an outcast by the media in Australia and died in 2006. Both the American protesters Tommie Smith & John Carlos were pallbearers. The reason they have gloves on different hands is that Carlos forgot his gloves to Peter told them to split the pair they had. Peter also wore a OPHR badge.

Yes you can see the badge in the picture. Peter got in strife for wearing that.

Been shown at the Dendy over here.

So, in Adelaide, I'd say somewhere like the Nova...
