The show deserves a book! It could give a history of the show, where it was done, how long it went for, etc. as well as a few action photos. Pretty much a case of bringing that webpage to the print media!

At the least, the release of a "best of" DVD will suffice, Channel 10! ... but they probably taped episodes of the bloody Simpsons over the old IAK tapes.

The guy who does that website contacted C10 and they said they no longer had the rights to the show and had no plans to get them again :(

It might be whoever produced the show ... ie; Southern Cross entertainment etc...

Grundy's produced the show and it was done from memory I think on the Gold Coast. It has been a long time since I have seen the show brought the board game the other day complete for $4 from the Salvos.

IIRC, Whitney was on "IAK" for a short time before his defection to Seven.

The blind posties where they had to navigate the maze and then open a post box - always at the end - and great to watch!

the problem is with public liability these days it would cost a sweet fortune to do a show like It's A Knockout these days.

Strawb, Friday Night Live seems to go ahead alright.
And they even pay backpackers to test all the games first ;)

Anddddddd FU whoever started this thread - I've had the theme song in my head for the past two weeks!

It's a corker of a tune!

I'd like to see Channel USA ditch Big Bore-ther and put some of the cash and screen time they'd save to do a show like "IAK" because we know it would rate and appeal to those who remember it in the 80s as well as the younger people of today ... just like me as a teenager when it was on in the late 80s.

Boog-eeee!

I dare say contestants would have to sign some sort of disclaimer.

If you think IAK was bad, did anyone ever see a japanese show called Tokeshi's castle??? Based on the same principle except far more dangerous... great show tho...

The coverage of Takeshi's Castle was damaged irrepairably by having two ex Big Bore-ther contestants co-host the show and turn it into a farce with their inane crapping on ... which was somehow worse than Bwucie, Tim Watson and Rick Olarenshaw on the Channel 7 footy coverage.
