One of Australia's greatest actors - could play a variety of roles, whether it be underworld figure (and Vinegar Tit's first love interest) George Lucas in Prisoner, the corrupt Bill Heslop in Muriel's Wedding or Bob (who could forget his 'wife' Cynthia) in Priscilla, he portrayed the characters he played with amazing excellence.

Had the pleasure of meeting the man a couple of years and wasn't sure what to expect. What I got was one of nature's true gentlemen who could talk knowledgeably on a range of subjects and took a genuine interest in those around him. Truly one out the box. RIP Bill.
